Kareena Kapoor Khan grooves to Yo Yo Honey Singh

Looks like R Balki's Ki And Ka will move to the beat of a new drum. Moving away from the usual flavour of the music in his films, Balki will now have Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor groove to High Heels by Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jaz Dhami. 


Apparently, when Arjun first heard the song in Bhushan Kumar's office, he couldn't stop listening to it and made Balki listen to the song. And to everyone's surprise, Balki loved the song and asked the Meet Bros to rework it for the film, after which it was recently shot at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai, with Kareena in a 32-kg lehenga and Arjun reportedly shirtless. Moreover, Balki also had Bhushan Kumar produce the music for the rest of the album as well, which supposedly has five songs.


Well, it looks like Kareena is set to take screens by storm in her high heels.

T-Series Ropes in Mithoon, Yo Yo Honey Singh for R. Balki’s ‘Ki and Ka’ Score

MUMBAI — Remember “PK,” for which T-Series insisted on Ankit Tiwari doing a song? In the forthcoming “Wazir” too, other composers have come in at the behest of Bhushan Kumar besides the same Shantanu Moitra, the Vidhu Vinod Chopra favorite, who despite hits like “Parineeta” and “3 Idiots,” is no longer the solo composer for Chopra’s films.

One flop (“Shamitabh”) and R. Balki finds himself in the same unenviable position of succumbing to T-Series’ self-appointed role as music producer. The T-Series cohorts Mithoon and Yo Yo Honey Singh have been roped in for the score of his latest film “Ki and Ka," starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. Not only is Amitabh Bachchan no longer in the cast (though he does a cameo), but the filmmaker had to take a break from his regular composer, South titan Ilayaraja, who the filmmaker calls the raison d’etre for wanting to make films.
However, Balki has gotten the veteran to do a track too, as he cannot imagine a film minus the legend, and presumably, since he will also be composing the background score.
He has told a Mumbai tabloid tersely: “Ilayaraja is the music director of the film. He has done the main song and is also doing the music of the film.”

Such is the situation for music in a film today.

Yo Yo Honey Singh & Jaz Dhami’s song High Heels to feature in ‘Ki & Ka’

Not long ago, Arjun Kapoor shared a selfie from the shoot of a song that he was shooting for with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bosco Martis for their forthcoming movie ‘Ki and Ka’, directed by R Balki. It’s emerged that the song is actually Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jaz Dhami’s High Heels which T-Series head Bhushan Kumar fell in love with thanks to Arjun.

According to Mumbai Mirror, Kumar said, “To our surprise, Balki loved it”. It was a surprise that Balki was in favour as it’s a far cry from what he is usually known to feature in his films’ albums. “When Balki heard the original song, he appointed me as the “music producer” for his film. He requested for an album of five tracks”.

Kumar continued, “No one has heard this kind of music in a Balki film before. He gave me complete creative freedom with the music but was hands-on with this one song”.

Kapoor Khan is believed to have worn a 32kg lehenga for the song which is something many will be waiting to see.
