Yo Yo Honey Singh & Jaz Dhami’s song High Heels to feature in ‘Ki & Ka’

Not long ago, Arjun Kapoor shared a selfie from the shoot of a song that he was shooting for with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bosco Martis for their forthcoming movie ‘Ki and Ka’, directed by R Balki. It’s emerged that the song is actually Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jaz Dhami’s High Heels which T-Series head Bhushan Kumar fell in love with thanks to Arjun.

According to Mumbai Mirror, Kumar said, “To our surprise, Balki loved it”. It was a surprise that Balki was in favour as it’s a far cry from what he is usually known to feature in his films’ albums. “When Balki heard the original song, he appointed me as the “music producer” for his film. He requested for an album of five tracks”.

Kumar continued, “No one has heard this kind of music in a Balki film before. He gave me complete creative freedom with the music but was hands-on with this one song”.

Kapoor Khan is believed to have worn a 32kg lehenga for the song which is something many will be waiting to see.

Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Remake of ‘Dheere Dheere’ Goes Viral

Time for a throwback: the date is July 23, 1990 and Mahesh Bhatt’s romantic drama “Aashiqui” has just hit theaters across India. Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal play their namesakes in the movie, and “Aashiqui” is the story of the ups and down of their pyaar ki kahaani.

The movie was a phenomenal box-office success, almost entirely in part thanks to the soundtrack. After an almost unbearable 10 or so years without a single decent Bollywood soundtrack, listeners across the world were shocked by the melodious songs in the “Aashiqui” soundtrack.  Playback singers Anuradha Paudwal and Kumar Sanu, along with music directors Nadeem-Shravan and lyricist Sameer, all won Filmfare awards for their work.

Now, 25 years since the release of this mega hit soundtrack, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh chose to pay tribute to Gulshan Kumar, the founder of the T-Series music label and one of the producers of “Aashiqui,” by recreating the classic “Dheere Dheere.”

Singh keeps the main refrain from the original song, but much of the rest is distinctly different and strongly influenced by his personal style. Since the music video’s release on YouTube on September 1, it has already gotten more than 20 million views.

This success is largely thanks to the glamorous cinematography in Turkey along with the impressive onscreen presence of both Sonam Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. Some people love Singh’s version of “Dheere Dheere,” while others hate it—decide for yourself and watch this video ASAP if you have not seen it yet!

Hrithik Roshan to feature in Honey Singh's next single as an ode toGulshan Kumar

Bhushan Kumar who is keen on bringing back the phenomenon of Indie music is glad to announce his next which is most close to his heart. We are talking about his next single by Yo Yo Honey Singh which is the singer-composer's tribute to Bhushan Kumar's father Shri Gulshan Kumar. Honey Singh who has huge respect for Shri Gulshan Kumar has recreated his memorable cult song 'Dheere Dheere Se' from Aashiqui and revised the lyrics for the new track. A love song by one of the country's most popular artist definitely needs a face who has stolen the audiences' hearts and that's when instantly Bhushan finalized on the Greek God of Hindi film industry Hrithik Roshan. Bhushan Kumar is grateful that both these two superstars Hrithik Roshan and Yo Yo Honey Singh did this and that too, without charging a single penny.

Bhushan Kumar is enthusiastic about recreating his father's most romantic track 'Dheere Dheere Se' of the cult film Aashiqui. Bhushan says, "I was just 12 then in 1990, when I was mad about the music of Salman Khan's Maine Pyar Kiya. In those days, the trend was to release film music months in advance and so, Aashiqui music too was released four months before the release of the film. Since my father Gulshan Kumar had produced the film, we had access to the music much before it was in the market. I remember whenever I went with papa in his car; I would take my favourite cassette and play it. So I started playing Maine Pyar Kiya that was not our music, but of a competitor. Papa gave me the Aashiqui cassette and told me, `Listen to this. This is from our film.' I started hearing it and till today, that album remains on my playlist. I remember him telling me that his most favourite song ever was `Dheere Dheere Se'. Papa died in 1997. When Yo Yo Honey Singh met me for the first time, he told me how he respected my father so much and he had dreamt of one day working with him. He had read somewhere that`Dheere Dheere Se' was my father's favourite song and said that he wanted to recreate it for him and that too for free, even though he otherwise charges a huge amount. He started the work but then fell ill last year. During his illness, I met him three times at his house. I met him first time, then second time during my sister's wedding, but it was on my third visit only, when Honey was feeling much better and had started composing again, that I asked him if he felt comfortable to finish the song, as I wanted to pay a tribute to my father as Aashiqui completes 25 years. And Honey completed the song. I then went to Hrithik Roshan, who was my first choice to dance on the single. I made him listen to the song without telling him the purpose for which I was making it. He loved it, but didn't see the reason why he should dance to an old recreated song, given that Hrithik has never ever been part of a single song video. I then told Hrithik my reasons for making it and within a second he said,`I am doing it for Gulshanji. That will be my only reason to dance to it.'" 

While Hrithik and Yo Yo Honey Singh are both doing it for free, Bhushan is doing it only for emotional reasons and he is clear that there is no money to be made on this. If he lands up making any, it would have to go to charity for sure. Bhushan Kumar who credits his and T-Series' identity and growth to his father's dream is keen to launch the new song soon. 

Hrithik Roshan will be shooting for the song in Turkey for the next two days.

Yo Yo Honey Singh Soon Coming Back With A New Single Track

Indian rapper Yo! Yo! Honey Singh, who was almost everywhere with his tunes being played at every party, has been missing from the Bollywood circuit of late. However, now we hear that Singh is contemplating resuming his crooning with a single.

Reports are that Honey Singh will soon be developing a new single that will be produced by none other than Bhushan Kumar's Tseries Music . we hear that it will also feature a music video much like their earlier outing 'Desi Kalakar' that featured Sonakshi Sinha.

Bhushan Kumar clears the air about Yo Yo Honey Singh’s mysterious disappearance

Once a permanent fixture of all big budget Bollywood films, singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, is totally missing in action since last year after the news of his dropout from Shahrukh Khan’s world tour SLAM. While rumors had it that, SRK and Honey Singhad a huge rift with the former even raising his hands on the singer, which resulted in Honey leaving the show mid-way, the news was later denied by the superstar about no such incident having taken place.

Lately there was news about, Honey Singh having checked into a rehabilitation centre for reasons of drug abuse. However the same was denied by Honey’s wife Shalini who clarified that it was her husband’s failing health which has resulted in his unexpected sabbatica

Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, who has a long standing relation with the singer, commented about the current status of Honey Singh’s health issues. He mentioned about the singer having over abused his body due to hectic work schedules and hence in dire need of rest. He further stated that, the singer is well on track of recovery and is recuperating at home. Bhushan also announced plans of the duo coming out with their new album in ten days of time
